Momentum
The quantity of motion of a moving body, being a measure of the time it would take that body to stop when a force is applied to it. It is equal to the product of the body`s mass and velocity. Since velocity is speed in a certain direction, momentum is directional. A change in momentum can be brought about by a change in speed or in direction.
