Design data

Hi folks,
Design of an engineering product is made with the intention of ultimately manufacturing it economically. Modern manufacturing engineering places great emphasis on the completeness and clarity of information contained in the engineering documentation and on the maximum use of standard components in the design. Sufficient attention in the design stage, on details regarding attainable geometric, position and dimensional tolerances, the selection of proper materials and process of heat treatment and designing components with minimum machining involved, is often found to result in substantial reduction in the cost of production. Thank you.

Big babies

Hi friends,
The African elephant has the longest pregnancy of any mammal. She carries her baby for an average of 660 days. When baby is born it weighs 90-120 kg (195-265 lb). A baby blue whale is even bigger. It weighs 2,000 kg (4,409 lb) and is 7m (23ft) long. It puts on weight at astonishing rate of 90 kg (198 lb) a day. Thank you.

Micro-organism

Any living thing too small to be seen without the aid of a microscope, particularly a single- celled creature. There are both animal and plant forms of micro-organism. They include protozoa, bacteria, various kinds of algae, and such fungi as yeasts and moulds. Viruses are sometimes regarded as micro-organisms, but many biologists consider them to be non living things. A great number of micro-organisms are disease-inducing parasites, but many more are useful to other life forms.
